Ayesha Takia saw a preview of her upcoming film Paathshala which also stars Shahid Kapur, Suniel Shetty and Nana Patekar.

Moved by the screening the Dor star tweeted:

The film is about student-teacher relationship. "It's a highly emotional subject, I can confidently state that it's the most lavish children's film made in India" said director Ahmed Khan.

Shahid Kapoor plays an English and Music teacher who comes into the lives of a group of young, troubled students. Nana Patekar plays the Principal, and Ayesha Takia is a teacher who looks into the extra curricular activities. Mehnaaz plays a school kid who falls in love with her teacher.

Takia is riding the wave of success with her recently released hit film Wanted with co-star Salman Khan.

Tanushree's Kollywood movie Theeratha Villayattu Pillai also recently hit the floors in Chennai. The movie stars Vishal and Neetu Chandra. The fashion shoot for the movie recently had to be relocated when the set was invaded by uninvited photographers.

I have no problems if I have to go nude: Meghna Naidu

Recently we told you that the voluptuous Meghna Naidu said that she doesn’t feel shy off her clothes in front of 20 or 30 unit members and now she says that she has no problems if she has to go nude and she won't hesitate to shed all her clothes in front of the camera.

But of course there is a catch. Meghna adds that if she will drop all her clothes in front of the camera only if the story requires as much.

Talking to a leading entertainment portal, Meghna said, “"If someone refers to me as the sexiest girl in the film industry, I take immense pleasure in it. I have no problems if I have to go nude. I am ready to strip completely before the camera in case the role demands something like that. I know we have a Censor Board and it would probably never allow such a shot to be aired, but I would do it nonetheless.”

But the voluptuous beauty, whose films like Hawas and Rain failed to click at the box-office, despite some ample skin show, insisted she won't go naked without a cause.

Meghna added, “I don't want to strip for the sake of stripping. It has to be for the role, to which I attach the maximum importance. If I look sexy and can sell my assets, then that is what I want to do. There are actresses who are sexy but they can't sell themselves on screen. I have an advantage over them - not only am I sexy, I can sell myself as well. Remember, my first music video ‘Kaliyon ka Chaman’ was a huge hit. It broke all records because I have the kind of sex appeal that few other women in showbiz have. If my fans come to see me because they think I am sexy, then that's certainly an achievement.”

Meghna also denied that despite her alluring sex appeal no big producer has signed her.

"Next year I will be signing projects with very prestigious producers and directors. In fact I have done five films in a row and need a break. I have no dearth of offers from the South as well. I know I can count on my eye-popping figure to help me climb the ladder of success," she signed off.

Slumdog kid Rubina's dad puts her on sale

In a bid to cash in on Rubina’s international stardom, father Rafiq Qureshi has put her up for adoption, demanding nearly 200,000 pounds.

He offered the deal to News of the World’s undercover fake sheik. "Yes, we are considering Rubina’s future," Qureshi told the undercover.

"I have to consider what’s best for me, my family and Rubina’s future," he added.

Qureshi blamed Hollywood bosses for forcing him to put his daughter up for sale and claims, "We’ve got nothing out of this film."

Slum dweller Rubina played the role of young Latika in the Oscar winning film which tracked the story of 18 year old slum boy who goes on to win a million in India’s version of ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’.

News of the World’s undercover approached Qureshi acting for a wealthy Arab sheik who wanted to adopt the girl. "Yes, we are considering Rubina’s future," Qureshi replied.

And asked him to talk to his brother-in-law.

Rubina’s uncle Rajan More, confirmed: "Yes, we are interested in securing our girl’s future. Rubina’s life is miserable and she lives here with her stepmother. Most of the time she stays with me because she is not happy at her parents’ home. Obviously if you wanted to adopt we could discuss this, but her parents would also expect some proper compensation in return. We are talking of around 50,000 pounds for this to happen."

According to an insider, "Rubina’s family are furious that despite the film doing so well and their pretty daughter becoming so famous, they are still living in such rough conditions.

"They were approached by one wealthy Middle Eastern family who saw their plight in an item on Al Jazeera TV. The couple expressed an interest in adopting young Rubina and her parents’ eyes lit up.

"Dad Rafiq is streetwise and knows that soon his daughter’s success will be forgotten and her moment of fame will be over. He has a family to feed and simply can’t afford it. He is keen to find a rich family to bring up Rubina but only if they are willing to help the whole family to get out of the slums.

"The Middle East family were moved to tears by the plight of the young orphans shown in the film and fell in love with Rubina. This family wanted to take Rubina abroad. They agreed to come to Mumbai to discuss the adoption in May. But the approach has made Rafiq very greedy and he has said that he will consider the highest offer for his child. But they realise that the money will soon stop coming in and Rafiq is open to all offers," the insider added.

Akshay pips King Khan as Bollywood's Taxpayer No 1

Kumar paid a total advance tax of Rs 31 crore in the financial year against Rs 12.5 crore in 2007-08, a whopping 148% more than what he paid in the previous financial year, thanks to his recent box office hits. That means Kumar’s total earnings for the period were a tad above Rs 100 crore!

On the other hand, King Khan’s tax payout declined marginally — by 1.69% — to Rs 30.9 crore in 2008-09 compared to Rs 31.5 crore in the fiscal before. Together, Kumar and Khan account for nearly 60% of the total Rs 107 crore forked out by Bollywood’s top 10 advance taxpayers.

However, the biggest fall was Big B’s. Amitabh Bachchan made it to the bottom of the top 10 advance tax payers list, with a modest Rs 1.25 crore, sliding 74.77% from the previous financial year. His daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, however, was 6th on the list, paying more advance tax than both the Bachchans. While she handed over Rs 4.75 crore in advance tax (10.46% more than 2007-08), Abhishek Bachchan paid Rs 3.2 crore in 2008-09, marking a decline of 42.86%.

Salman Khan’s earnings saw the second-highest growth after Kumar in terms of percentage — 107.41% more than last year. But in terms of the actual amount, he made it only to third place with a total advance tax payout of Rs 14 crore.

Saif Ali Khan and his lady love Kareena Kapoor also figure in the list of top 10 Bollywood taxpayers. Khan paid Rs 8.63 crore (an impressive 64% more than last year) while Kapoor — the only other female filmstar to make it to the list besides Rai-Bachchan — forked out Rs 3.7 crore, nearly 2.78% more than last year.

Kylie has broken Bollywood cost record

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has become the highest-paid foreign celebrity in Bollywood history.

The Love at First Sight singer, who appears as herself and sings a dance number for film called Blue with actor Akshay Kumar, was paid a staggering amount of more than USD 1 million, say reports.

"My overriding memory is the warmth and professionalism of people. I arrived as a stranger but left considering myself as family," said Minogue.

"Kylie couldn't have been more perfect. Her beautiful voice and bubbly personality were adored by so many. She is the perfect diva," said Kumar.

However, it's not the first time Kylie has bagged a huge fee for a cameo role. Last year the star pocketed a reported USD 2.1 million for a 45-minute set in Dubai.
